Hello there,

My name is Emily (Em) and I’m a mama of two tween boys currently living in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, USA. I married my Australian sweetheart Andrew in 2005 after meeting him during a study abroad stint in college. After college I lived in sunny Perth, Western Australia for about 6 years and then I dragged Andrew to Minnesota after having our first son. Here we are, over 10 years later, still living in the tundra. I work part time as a group fitness instructor and also do dispatch work in emergency management.

I’m kind of dorky, loud, and annoyingly peppy. I’m laid back (very type B, which explains why I never got around to writing a blog before now), love being around people and get antsy sitting in one place too long. Every other week I scheme up a big international move somewhere.

In my spare time I get my kids outside as much as possible because we LOVE to explore. I crave seeing new places and this small area of the world has so much to offer!
