Brand New & Easy to Book

Booking a cabin is a piece of cake right now but as more people get to know about them I’m guessing they’ll fill up fast! Just head to the Getaway website HERE, click on ‘Book Now’, select your location, number of guests (1-4), number of beds (1 or 2) & dates. Be aware that weekends require a 2 night minimum and anything more than 60 days out also requires a 2 night minimum. If you’re looking for a bargain, choose a weekday within the next 60 days and you’re looking at less than $100 for a night away!

What to Pack

So what else do you need to pack?

  • Food & drinks (a small selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and a s’more kit is available to purchase in the cabin)
  • Clothes
  • Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand/dish soap is available in the cabin)

Pretty much pack like you’re going to a hotel. Obviously if you’re going to be doing outdoorsy stuff though then bring your outdoor gear too!

Check In/Out

Check in/out is all contactless! You’ll receive a text one hour before check-in and that will give you your door entry code and cabin name/number. Check in is at 3pm and checkout is 11am.

Enjoy the Peace

These cabins sleep four people but having four in there would be pretty squishy! We booked this to have a night away from our kids but I suppose you could bring your kiddos if you were good with up close and personal family time! Just an FYI though, there’s very little privacy in there from each other as it’s one tiny room.

Talking about privacy, once we were in our cabin we couldn’t see any other cabins from our windows! The whole place is arranged like a spread out campground.

This was the view from the window next to the bed!

What’s There to do?

Besides relaxing in nature & a nearby short nature trail (within walking distance of all the cabins), you’ll have to drive for any other activities. I’d highly recommend taking a few hours to explore Banning State Park! It’s only about 18 minutes away and there are some fantastic hiking trails! Check out my post HERE with some trail & park info.

Are You a Waterfall Chaser?

If yes, it’s another reason to head to Banning! Not only is there Wolf Creek Falls there but also a lesser known waterfall called Big Spring Falls in another area of the park. This area is absolutely stunning and I can’t believe I hadn’t heard about it before!

Google Maps link to Big Spring Falls HERE.

Would I return?

I would definitely stay here again, I think it was the perfect mix of nature and comfort! I’d love to return again when all the trees green up because it will feel like a totally different place!

If you’re interested, here’s the link to book for $25 off your stay!

Happy Exploring!
